Buzzard’s Roost

4/7/18

This was just a quick out and back trip to Buzzard’s Roost. There were some really gigantic trees, which makes sense with the trail being in a redwood forest.

It had just rained the day before, so everything was damp and bright green and gorgeous! It was also kind of drizzly on the day I went so it was a good thing I brought waterproof layers!

Standing on this log felt a lot scarier than it looks in the picture

It’s a spider apartment building!

Can you see the face in this tree?

This was a really nice hike, and I definitely want to come back and explore this area more! Its only about an hour and a half away from where I live!

If you’ve never been to Big Basin Redwoods State Park, I highly recommend it!

Until next time

Big Basin is awesome, especially Berry Creek Falls after a rain (from HQ or from the beach).

My blog from Berry Creek Falls https://alpharoaming.com/2016/01/24/berry-creek/ Coming in from the beach is nice, too, but a longer drive!
