Rose Peak – 2019

I think that this was the longest day hike I have ever done! There was a hike along part of the PCT that I did when I was in middle school where our trip leaders got lost and we went much further than we planned, but I don’t think that was more than 15 miles, and it wasn’t being tracked, plus it has been more than ten years since that incident…so I am just going to go ahead and count this as my longest day hike ever! and let me tell you, it was awesome. Especially because I got to eat a fantastic dinner afterward.

I started out around 2:30 pm, I don’t know what it is about the late start times lately, but I must say I really underestimated how long it would take me to hike more than 17 miles!

Here are some more images from my hike, and my stats below. It was such a great challenge! I think that something is wrong with Ramblr’s avg speed stat tracker though, because it says I averaged 0.0 mph! I hiked up and ran back down because it was getting dark and I was late for dinner and I know I was definitely going faster than 0mph (except maybe on some of those hills!)

See you next time!
