Castle Rock State Park Hike

2/11/18

This was a short hike through Castle Rock State Park. I was inside all day and I needed to get out, so I took to the trails without planning to see where I was going, and just found out where I ended up. It was so nice and not crowded, even for an afternoon.

I will definitely be back here, there is a really cool looking backpacking trail camp that I didn’t quite make it to, I feel like it would be great for a gear test trip or a trip to introduce someone to backpacking. Castle Rock State Park also has tons of rock climbing and bouldering!

I would recommend going here on a weekday when it is less crowded, but even on the weekends, this park doesn’t tend to get too crowded!

I didn’t follow a specific trail, I just went on whichever trails appealed to me and enjoyed the area 🙂
